Welcome to the Northern Rockies Recreation Therapy Association. We strive to advance the profession of recreation thearpy by: Providing educational opportunities to CTRS's in Montana and Wyoming. Promote professional standards of practice Increase public knowledge of recreation therapy Advocate of client rights & services Expand knowlege base of professionals NRRTA was started in 2008 as a way for regional Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialists in Montana and Wyoming to come together. Our mission as stated above. We believe that recreation, leisure and play are inherent and significant aspects fo the human experience as they promote the quality of life and wellness at every stage of development. Further, we believe that individuals of all abilitites have the right to benefit from leisure and recreation. This chapter of ATRA was started in 2008 by the current Board members in hopes to promote the field of RT and bringing regional CTRS's together.
